Landing Gear

The landing gear consists of off-the-shelf 8-wheel rear bogies, and a set of 2-wheel front bogies. The landing gear must be able to handle an MTOW of 475MT. The tires are made using a puncture proof design, and may be lined with kevlar and boron carbide. The landing gears, of the VTOL version, include pontoons for vertical landing.

Each wheel must be able to handle a static load of at least 29 metric tons, for a total of at least 464 metric tons for the rear bogies, and at least 116 metric tons for the front wheel bogies.

All four landing gears collapse length-wise along the aircraft, in a meter and half landing gear boxes.
